Issues & Priorities

Putting More Money Back in Your Pocket
Government should work collaboratively and responsibly to reduce everyday costs for families through practical reforms that lower taxes, cut wasteful spending, and encourage economic growth.

Lowering Everyday Fees
Families are being nickel-and-dimed through rising fees and licenses. We should reduce unnecessary costs such as vehicle tab renewal fees, fishing licenses, and other recurring charges that impact hardworking residents every year.

Championing Small Businesses
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and community. Recent paid family leave mandates have increased costs and uncertainty for employers. We must pursue balanced solutions that support workers while allowing small businesses to grow, hire, and succeed.

Ending Unfunded Mandates
State government must stop shifting financial burdens onto local governments and school districts through unfunded mandates. These policies drive up property taxes and strain local services without delivering results.

Supporting Law Enforcement & Public Safety
Safe communities start with strong partnerships between citizens and law enforcement. We must fully support officers at every level with the tools, training, and resources needed to protect families and keep neighborhoods secure.

Restoring Academic Excellence
Our students are falling behind in reading and math, and that is unacceptable. We must strengthen curriculum standards, support teachers, and refocus classrooms on proven academic outcomes so every child — and future generation — has the opportunity to succeed.
